"Modelling the Relationships Between Ground and Buildings Using 3D Architectural Topological Models Utilising Graph Machine Learning Authors: Alymani, Abdulrahman, Jabi, Wassim and Corcoran, Padraig Abstract: Historically, architects have established different approaches to constructing their buildings on the ground. Classifying the building/ground relationship enables the architect to make informed design decisions during the early design stages. Manual handling of this task is time-consuming, complex as well as prone to errors. This paper leveraged Machine Learning (ML) methods to overcome this difficulty by applying Graph Machine Learning (GML) to 3D topological models, to classify the building and ground relationship. The paper workflow comprised two stages. The first stage involved generating 3D synthetic architectural precedents and created a dataset of their dual graph using Topologic, which is software that computes the spatial relationships between elements. "Integration of Phase Change Materials in Service Areas of Building Envelopes for Improved Thermal Performance: An Experimental Study in Saudi Arabia by Abdalla Alrashdan, Atef M. Ghaleb, Khalid Haj Ahmad and Abdel Naser Daoud Publisher: Building Energy, Physics, Environment, and Systems Abstract: This experimental study explores the integration of Phase Change Materials (PCMs) within building envelopes. The research specifically centers on the utilization of two microencapsulated paraffin-based PCMs with melting points of 37 °C and 43 °C. The study assesses their performance within cement and gypsum-based PCM composites, concentrating on service areas often overlooked in thermal analysis, including underground garages, staircases, and utility rooms."

"PDF Malware Detection Based on Fuzzy Unordered Rule Induction Algorithm (FURIA) by Sobhi Mejjaouli and Sghaier Guizani Published: Advances in Cybersecurity: Challenges and Solutions Journal Abstract: The number of cyber-attacks is increasing daily, and attackers are coming up with new ways to harm their target by disseminating viruses and other malware. With new inventions and technologies appearing daily, there is a chance that a system might be attacked and its weaknesses taken advantage of. Malware is distributed through Portable Document Format (PDF) files, among other methods. These files’ adaptability makes them a prime target for attackers who can quickly insert malware into PDF files. This study proposes a model based on the Fuzzy Unordered Rule Induction Algorithm (FURIA) to detect PDF malware.
